ParticipantHi: I’m about to buy a 40′ Diesel pusher, my plan is to hit the road for about a year, my question is about how much money should it cost to travel some, park some per month?
I was thinking that maybe I could get by with 2K a month, is that accurate? I could work a little more and make some more but the whole point is to work the minimum so I can enjoy. It’s going to be just me, my teenage daughter and we’re planning to add a 4 legged furred one.December 15, 2017 at 10:13 am #2696Pippi
KeymasterHi Adrian, how has the journey been so far? Have you found $2000 to be good enough to get by?
Costs completely depend on the distances you travel, which parks you stay at and if you eat out or not, costs for sightseeing…
What type of four-legged friend did you two get?

ParticipantExcellent comments, the best.
IMHO, the reality of funding is
- always
left out .. especially for those under age 50, to keep funding their Social Security.
Just read about a successful art dealer, who always got the bills paid .. and never paid into SocSec. Now, he’s age 65, and only going to get $700/month from SocSec. That’s bad .. really bad.
IMHO, that’s what guys like “Bob” on YouTube leave out. Bob will tell you, he was a union worker, with a good pension and paid-up SocSec. That’s one situation.
And if you’re not in the same situation .. and under age 50 .. you need to keep paying into SocSec, to keep eligible. Yeah, complain that it is run by clown-politicians .. you need those benefit-credits.
