When I had my Class C in Florida, I was in my RV on a friends property. Local code states you can’t ‘Live In’ an RV.
So if asked by code enforcement, you answer no, I live ‘out’ of my RV. It worked but I moved on because my idea of RV living is being mobile. Im looking for land too and would probably just build a structure like a garage first and go from there. I’m still in explore mode. Happy Trails. ✌

Yes, that is what I have been doing. I hear it’s like a 600 question total, and I get a random 25 when I take the practice test. I’ve been scoring a steady 87% ish, so I feel almost ready to take the exam. And thanks for the tip on the math questions. I gotta stay up on it to remember ohms law ect.to do the math. I am looking forward to transmitting on something besides 11 meters.

Welcome Randy I’m Chris, full time RV’er/live aboard sailboat guy. Wanted to chime in cause I’ve been into amateur radio for quite some time and have been studying for my ticket. Planning to take the tech class first and then continue to study for my general and extra class in the future. I enjoy watching Ham Nation on tech TV, Cool when I learned that Joe Walsh is a ham too. Hope to have my call sign soon and add my info to QRzed as well. Happy Trails

Hi Ron, I have been full timing in my 23-ft class C for the last few years. Although I really enjoy it, my attention has turned to sail boats recently. So I am considering selling my Class C and or trading / partial trade for a sailboat. I am currently in Georgia but frequent the Carolinas, so feel free to contact me if you may be interested. My email is Phantomxter@gmail.com

Whats an ombudsman, is that like Sargent Stadanko being in charge of the herbage and whatnot? :))

Cool! Find anything useful? I looked under mine and found a 40 gallon fresh water tank and five bucks in change. That should cover the first 20 miles in some direction. If it doesn’t burn a hole in my pocket before I get my tags next week. :)) But could be on the right track.

Ummm, find a guy with a sweet rig already that is maybe looking for a travel partner? ;)) And it wouldn’t hurt if they had travel experience and know how to fix stuff. ;))
I’m sure there is one around here somewhere :))

Thanks, I traded two wheels for six, and it has been pretty cool so far.
The plan is to set sail sooner than later, but been pretty much static except for one maiden voyage 10/2016. The rig did well, and I really enjoyed it. Found a nice peaceful, water front spot at Rood Creek on freecampsites and it was very nice. Been selling off more junk, doing a few repairs, and getting street legal. It’s time for a cool change.

Welcome Trina, I too have learned quite a bit from the information Pippi has provided, and am thankful as well. As a full timer myself since 2014, watching youtube and reading the forums has provided a wealth of knowledge helping me find my path to freedom. I enjoy paying this forward to others just starting and in my area.

I second that, cool idea. After finding myself single and living in a Class C, I had actually been wondering about a site for RV singles, Pippi did what I was thinking, good job. I am currently in a family members yard with shore power, but my plans are to explore and do more boon docking. Since I am currently in the South East, Jacksonville, FL. to be exact, I figured start in this region and go from there. I have been a 48 state truck driver so I have a travel advantage and I can make most of my own repairs. I have one dog and have thought about maybe sharing my Class C with a female that could bring half to the table and make it better for both. Thanks again for this forum, I will think about a post and make one soon. Happy Trails
